Fast Crew

Fast Crew couldn’t have timed their entrance into the local music scene any better. Their first single dropped just as the golden years of New Zealand hip hop were about to begin, and their funky, radio-friendly style led to a run of hits and a Top 10 album.

Australia beckoned, but an uncleared sample stymied their early success and despite a second album, the group faltered. However, one of the group’s vocalists, Dane Rumble, found success by recreating himself as a solo pop star.
